     Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (Known by her stage name, Lady Gaga) is an American pop-singer. After appearing in the rock music scene in New York York the Lower East Side in 2003, later enrolled at New York University, Tisch School of The Arts, she immediately signed a contract with Streamline Records.


    At first time, she worked as a songwriter for artists and attractthe attention of fellow label recording artist Akon, who acknowledges her vocal abilities, and signed it to his own label, Kon Live Distribution.


  Gaga became famous after releasing her debut album The Fame(2008), successful both commercially and critics and gained international popularity with the single "Just Dance"and "Poker Face". The album reached number one at six countries, topped the Billboard charts Dance /Electronic Albums as well as peaking at number two on the Billboard 200 chartsin the United States and reach the top ten positions around the world.






     Second album, The Fame Monster (2009), continuation of The Fame, produced two number one singles in various countries as "Bad Romance" and "Telephone", so she was allowed to begin a second global concert tour, The Monster Ball Tour, only a few months after the first tour, The Fame Ball tour.

      The second studio album, "Born This Way", released in May 2011, topped the album charts in all major music market, after the arrival of the single "Born This Way", "Judas", and "The Edge of Glory" the first single reached number one in countries around the world and is the fastest selling singles in the history of iTunes, selling a million copies in five days.


 

       Inspired by the glam rock artists such as David Bowie, Elton John and Queen, as well as pop singers such as Madonna and Michael Jackson, Gaga is also known in his hobby in fashion world, inappearances and in music videos. Her contributions to the music industry has garnered many achievements, including five Grammy Awards, twelve nominations, and two Guinness World Records and sold an estimated 64 million records.


      Billboard gave her, "Best Artist in the Year 2010", and ranked as "Best Artist-73 in the Decade of the 2000s". Gaga has been included in Time magazine's annual list, the Time 100 "most influential people in the world" and listed a number of Forbes magazine's annual list, including the "100 most powerful and influential celebrities in the world" and reached number one in the annual list of "100 most powerful celebrities".


     Gaga has identified fashion as a major influence. She considers Donatella Versace as her idol. Gaga has its own production's creative team that called Haus of Gaga, which he handled personally. The team created a lot of clothes, props, and hairdressing. Her love for fashion comes from her mother, who she said "always keep very well and stay beautiful." "When I'm writing music, I'm thinking about clothes to wear on stage. It's all about the same things, performance art, pop art, fashion. For me, it all comes together and becomes a real story that will bring a lot of fan. I want to bring them back. I want the image will be so strong that fans will want to eat, feel and lick every part of us. "






Meat Dress
     At 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, she's wearing a dress fitted with shoes, bags and hats, each made of meat from dead animals. Her dress, was named Time Magazine as "Fashion Statement in 2010, and is more widely known as "meat dress", designed by Argentinean designer, Franc Fernandez and accept different opinions aroused media attention worldwide outrage but called for animal rights PETA oraganisasi. She is interpreted as a statement of human rights with a focus on people in the LGBT community, adding that "If we do not stand up for what we believe and if we are not fighting for the right-our right, soon we will have as much right to our own meat on the bone. "
     Besides in musical career, Gaga has increased the repertoire as a philanthropist who has contributed to various charities and humanitarian work. Although it declined an invitation to record a song contribution, Gaga The Monster Ball concert tour after the earthquake of 2010 and dedicated Haiti to aid reconstruction of the country. This concert, held at Radio City Music Hall, New York, on January 24, 2010, contributed revenues received for temporary assistance funds.  All profits from the sale of products at the official online store on the same day Gaga donated. Gaga announced that an estimated total of $ 500,000 collected for the fund.


     Several hours after the earthquake and tsunami hit Japan in Tohoku 2011 March 11, 2011, Gaga tweet a message and a link to Japan Prayer Bracelet (Bracelet Prayer Japan). With the company, he designed the bracelets, with all sales revenue will be given to Japan. Bracelet raised $ 1.5 million (as of March 29, 2011). Shown at MTV Japan's charity event on June 25, 2011 at Makuhari Messe, Gaga appeared on the Japanese Red Cross assistance to help victims suffering from post-earthquake and tsunami.
